Blackpool Community Youth Theatre is a vibrant and dynamic new initiative designed specifically for talented young performers aged 8 to 17 years. This community theatre aims to provide a nurturing environment where emerging artists can develop their skills, express their creativity, and collaborate with peers who share their passion for the performing arts. Through a variety of engaging workshops, rehearsals, and performances, participants will have the opportunity to explore different aspects of theatre, from acting to productions. Our youth theatre staff including volunteers who work closely with children are Enhanced DBS checked and on the Update Service.
Fully Insured
As well as employers liability insurance,(which also covers volunteers) we have public liability insurance.
Not For Profit
Unlike most youth theatres, we are not for profit. Instead we give back to the community.
Pantomime Auditions
We are thrilled to announce auditions for our youth theatre’s first production, Jack and the Beanstalk Jr. written by actor and entertainer David Baker. This delightful rendition promises to capture the imaginations of both young performers and audiences alike. The pantomime will be co-directed by the talented Valerie Maratzzi. What We Do

Productions
With an array of plays and street performances on the horizon, we aim to showcase the boundless energy and imagination of our young performers. Each production will provide them with invaluable experiences and opportunities to hone their craft while engaging with the community.

Classes
In the coming months, we are excited to announce the launch of acting classes tailored for age groups eight to ten, eleven to thirteen and fourteen to seventeen.. These classes will provide a comprehensive introduction to the world of acting, covering essential topics such as improvisation and the art of making performances believable. .
